Manitou Telescopic Forklifts

Manitou Telescopic Forklifts

Manitou offers many different telescopic lift trucks, several that are rated as the most versatile equipment on the market today. All telehandlers by Manitou come with a standard 4-wheel drive, designed to be used in outdoor settings, and in rough terrain environments. The lift capacities range from 35,000 pounds to 3000 lbs. The machinery can lift heights ranging up to 70 feet on some models.

These telescopic forklifts are equipped with different steering modes available for 4-wheel steering and crab steering. Outriggers, Hydrostatic transmissions and frame leveling are some of the other alternatives available for these models. These machines could also use a huge variety of attachments including: rotating carriages, fixed carriages, buckets, truss jibs, grapples, and winches. There is a wide assortment of telescopic forklifts on the market and hence, many various configurations. Be sure to do your research in order to select the right one for your particular use.

When dismounting a lift truck, there are some particular things to take into account. When dismounting for instance, make sure to face the vehicle and to never jump from it. Maintain a 3-point stance, that means to consistently have both hands and one foot or vice-versa in contact with the equipment. Be sure to wear non-slippery and oil resistant shoes because correct protective shoes can definitely help to keep you safe. Do not wear loose garments or dangling jewelry, because these items might become caught. Wear the proper type of clothes. Make sure the area surrounding the forklift and the floor is free of fluid or debris which could potentially cause a dangerous slip. Last but not least, be alert and make sure there is no other traffic around when you are preparing to dismount.
