Narrow Aisle Forklift
Utilized to both lower and lift loaded pallets from storage spaces which are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This model is recommended for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, like retail establishments or warehouses. The forklift has small, solid rubber tires which make maneuvering very simple.
Usually, the operator of this particular type of forklift stands up within a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as narrow ans short as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift normally has three tires: two in the front, and one in the rear. This design enables for easy and fast maneuvering. There are several models of these forklifts which come with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the entire equipment. The sit-down model generally has four wheels.
An electric engine is used to power many narrow aisle forklifts. Electric-powered machines do not produce exhaust fumes and are not noisy, making them the preferred choice for closed areas like for instance retail spaces. Some lifts come with a diesel engine or a gas engine. Nevertheless, the diesel model is not suggested for indoor application because it can be quite noisy and produce exhaust.
